A Little Bit About the Band

The Plainfield North HS Band program offers students year-round opportunities to learn, perform, and compete while building great friendships, leadership skills, and passion for the performing arts. At around 130 members, it is larger than any athletic program or club at Plainfield North High School. The band program consists of:

The Marching Tigers – parades, football half-time shows, and choreographed field performances with props and color guard. They travel to competitions near & far. Last year, the Marching Tigers placed 6th in the Illinois State Band competition!
Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble – perform in concerts throughout the year
Pep Band – performs at basketball games
Jazz Band – performs at many functions, like a jazz cafe, the Venue in Aurora, and holiday functions

Our annual operating budget is upwards of $130,000 per school year. We gather about half of that money from student fees, the rest (approx. $60,000) comes from fundraising.

Help More Kids
- PNHS Bands are the largest student organization at Plainfield North High School, with around 130 members. Your donation will help the most kids from our school!
- Funds go directly toward
  - Music Education
  - Instruments
  - Uniforms
  - Costs of Competitions (props, equipment, meals and transportation)
Amazing Visibility Opportunities
- Our kids and families wear our "band show" t-shirts with sponsor logos to every show, in school, around town, and throughout the state at band competitions.
- Your logo will be prominently displayed on our brand new trailer for the 2025/26 school year. We travel to competitions and parades throughout the city of Plainfield, and the state of Illinois.
- Your logo will be on our banner, carried in the 2025 Homecoming Parade in downtown Plainfield and in any other parade we perform in (we typically participate in the Memorial Day Parade).
- Your logo will be displayed on our website www.pnhsbands.org
- We create a PNHS Band Photo Book at the end of the school year for our students. Your business will be featured in our photo book!
Community Outreach
- We have a social media reach of over 1500+ followers and will feature your business as a proud sponsor in a social media drop.
- We host an annual "Community Night" on October 23rd, 2025, at the end of our marching band season to show off our fully developed show. This event hosts all of our families and friends of the program. Our best sponsors are invited to interact with our guest. We invite you to host a table, feature your business in our community night slideshow, and provide an ad to be read live during the event.
- We will spotlight your business in one of our weekly newsletters sent to all of our students and parents.
Have More Fun!
- We invite you to attend one of our home football games as our special guest to see our the band perform in person!
