I volunteer and foster at SJRAS- right now I have a dog I am fostering named Walla- at the time I fostered him he was one of the longest residents there- now that he is in a home- he is absolutely flourishing! So on his behalf- we are fundraising for the shelter so they can continue to help so many dogs (not to mention cats and even Guinea pigs and chickens at times)- especially with programs like Dogs on the Go- this program gets dogs out to various places to be seen by potential adopters and also gives them a mental break from shelter life! They do a monthly pack walk in Parvin Park- this last week it was an ice cream party at Custard Corral- they do a monthly Fur the Weekend for people to have a dog as a weekend house guest- plus many others!! I LOVE that the shelter goes above and beyond with this program and want to help them be able to continue to go the extra mile by helping raise money for them. So for that reason- Team Walla will be walking :)
