April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This year, we are celebrating 25 years of Denim Day. Denim Day was created by Patti Giggans, Executive Director of Peace Over Violence, after she heard word of a Italian Supreme Court overturn of a 45 year old rapists charges, stating that his 18 year old victim's jeans were too tight to be taken off without help. Since then, we have seen many cases such as the one in 1999 that have continued to cause outrage and bring awareness surrounding Sexual Assault. We appreciate your support throughout this month. All proceeds are donated back to survivors of sexual assault who receive services through Mountain Crisis Services. We are thankful for your generosity.
