9 Lives Rescue takes in as many cats in crisis as we can. We have no paid staff or cages. Care, nurturing and socialization for every cat is provided by our patient and compassionate medical and foster volunteers in their own homes.

Year after year, our volunteer-based organization saves and finds loving homes for hundreds of homeless cats and kittens!

We pay veterinarians to provide routine medical care to every cat we serve, and to spay and neuter cats like Emerald and her kittens Ruby, Onyx, Topaz, and Moonstone. Sometimes a cat in our care has an unexpected serious illness (like the kittens above who were diagnosed with parvovirus), and we incur vet bills to save injured and critically ill cats in emergency situations.

Medical expenses are by far the largest part of our budget, and 2023 has been rough. We need to start the new year confident that we can provide the care necessary when the phone rings with a call for help.
