"Give Back, Lift Up: Support Johnathan Cares Now"

Last year, thanks to generous supporters, Johnathan Cares was blessed with two vehicles to help us fight food and non-food insecurities in Hampton Roads, a 26-ft box truck for large donations and a van for smaller deliveries. These vehicles became the heartbeat of our work, allowing us to pick up food and non-food items that would otherwise go to waste. By redirecting these donations, we not only feed families in need but also help save our environment.

Unfortunately, our van broke down and we haven’t been able to afford the repairs or replace it. And our box truck, the only vehicle keeping our operations alive, began experiencing serious issues. Thankfully, one incredible donor stepped in and paid the repair shop directly, to cover the most urgent fixes, getting us back on the road.

But we’re not out of the woods yet. The truck still needs additional work at a different shop to repair the liftgate, air conditioner, and other critical components.

On top of that, we urgently need warehousing space to store and organize non-food donations, items like household goods, hygiene products and supplies that are just as vital for families’ stability. Without proper storage, we risk losing the ability to distribute these essentials efficiently.

This is why we need your help. We’re calling on our community to step up for Johnathan Cares. Your donations will help us:

•     Complete the remaining repairs on our 26-ft box truck so we can keep delivering large food and non-food donations.

•     Secure a replacement vehicle for the van to handle smaller pickups and deliveries.

•     Obtain warehousing space to safely store and distribute non-food essentials.

•     Keep food and critical goods flowing to families while protecting the environment.

Every gift brings us one step closer to making sure that Johnathan Cares stays on the road and has the space to keep serving families with dignity.
