KG Boxing Academy & Fitness was founded by Lodi native and professional boxer Giovannie Gonzalez, who dreamed since childhood of opening a gym in his hometown. For the past four years, Gonzalez has personally funded this project to give kids in Lodi a safe place to learn, grow, and stay off the streets.

Since day one, everyone who has worked at the gym including Gonzalez himself has donated their time. Every dollar collected from memberships or gym fees has gone directly back into the facility to keep it open and affordable for the community.

Now, the City of Lodi requires at least $100,000 in building upgrades before we can fully open to the public. We need the community’s help to make this possible. Many don’t realize Gonzalez has been carrying this mission alone  so please share, tell a friend, and support us in keeping our youth off the streets and in a safe, positive environment.
