Membership is vital to the Springfield Area Arts Council and to the services and programming we provide for our community.
- Continue to employ over 500 local artists a year
- Deliver arts programming to over 5,000 elementary students in Sangamon and Menard counties through the Penny Wollan-Kriel Arts in Education program
- Bring quality performances to the Springfield area by hosting events such as First Night Springfield, Illinois’ longest running New Year’s Eve celebration, and Artist in the Park, a summer lunchtime performance series
- Support Sangamon and Menard county Arts Organizations through grants that help with programming and operating expenses
- Provide opportunities to local residents to showcase their creativity through The Mayor’s Arts Awards
- Encourage high school students to compete in the Poetry Out Loud regional and state contests
Whichever membership level you choose, you will be making a positive impact on the arts in our community – as an Ally, Advocate, Aristocrat, Ambassador, or member of the exclusive Artist’s Circle. Monthly sustained membership is also an option.
