Join us in kicking off the 2024-2025 Program Year with our AALEAD community. Youth, mentors, families, staff, volunteers, partners, and friends are invited! We will have a BBQ-themed lunch (burgers, hot dogs & a vegetarian option), as well as games/activities. AALEAD will also provide drinks & chips. Folks are encouraged to bring dishes for others to share, potluck-style, especially ones from their own culture! This event is free, but registration is required for all guests. Follow Beach Drive for approximately 1.5 miles. Look for signs directing you to Picnic Grove 24 on your right. METRO: Take the Red Line to the Van Ness-UDC Metro Station. From the Metro station, it’s a short drive or bike ride to Rock Creek Park.
