Help our clinics continue!
Aloha Animal Oasis (AAO) urgently needs your support. We have an immediate need for a new sterilization unit that enables us to sterilize the surgical equipment our amazing veterinarians use at all our clinics. This is an integral part of conducting our Spay/Neuter clinics. We also have a continual need for clinic supplies and tools because we go through a lot of supplies caring for all these kitties!
We spayed or neutered over 235 cats at our September clinic. With increasing clinic reservation numbers our current sterilization unit is in imminent danger of ceasing to operate. Despite manufacturer warranty repairs, it continues to have issues, and it has become apparent that our needs have surpassed our current unit's capabilities. To continue our mission, we need to purchase a new, more reliable, higher quality and more expensive sterilizer that can keep up with our increased numbers and grow with us into our future. This will allow our clinics to stay in operation and has the added benefit of having repair technicians located in Hawaii. These are very sensitive machines that require regular care and maintenance. With AAO's increasing successes, it would be devastating to stop our pawsitive momentum now. With five more clinics in 2024 we are forecasting an additional 450+ cats will be spayed/neutered that saves thousands of kittens from being born into hostile environments.
In 2024 with the incredible support of our donors and volunteers giving an estimated 1800+ hours of their time, we have spayed or neutered over 850 cats. Our forecast in 2025 is to double that number. Reliable equipment and plentiful clinic supplies is a must to reach our goals. We wish our need was more exciting, but the continuation and impact of these clinics is extremely important.
