Founded in 2001 as Asia Contemporary Art Week (ACAW), Asia Contemporary Art Forum (ACAF) is a dynamic curatorial and educational platform that connects leading New York and Asia-based artists, practitioners, institutions, and audiences to cutting-edge exhibitions, innovative projects, provocative dialogues, and networking opportunities.
Through programs that promote collaboration among diverse artistic communities and audiences, ACAF has established itself as one of the most important platforms in the United States (US) dedicated to spotlighting extraordinary artists, curators, scholars, and creative individuals whose practices broaden the cultural, political and geographical parameters of contemporary Asia.
ACAF started as an independent joint initiative of New York’s Asia Society and a consortium of international museums and leading galleries. Together, they strive to educate the public in the (US) and beyond about contemporary art and cultures of Asia and its diasporas.
