Our Story

For forty five years, the Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence has been working to create a safer, more compassionate Arizona. What began in 1980 as a grassroots effort to unite advocates across the state has grown into a statewide movement centered on dignity, safety, and healing. In 2013, the coalition expanded its mission to address both sexual and domestic violence, becoming the designated dual coalition for Arizona and strengthening its commitment to supporting survivors in every community.

Today, our work continues through advocacy, prevention, education, and policy change that honors the voices of survivors and meets the needs of those most impacted. Across Arizona, countless individuals are facing harm behind closed doors. Many feel unseen or unheard, especially during a time of year that can deepen isolation.

That is why this Giving Tuesday, on December 2nd, we are uplifting #EVERYsurvivor. This statewide movement reminds us that every story matters, every experience deserves compassion, and every survivor has a place in our work.
