PLEASE HELP SWEET PUMPKIN!

Pumpkin is a sweet, 10-month-old orange kitten. His mom loves him very much, and fostered him before adopting him. And now, Pumpkin is the best friend to his mom’s young son. Pumpkin is also great friends with the family’s dog.

Pumpkin fell and badly hurt his leg: it’s broken in TWO places. And now his leg needs to be amputated. Asheville Cat Weirdos Emergency Veterinary Assistance Program (EVAP) has been able to provide some help for Pumpkin, but cannot pay the entire bill for Pumpkin’s amputation.

In case you are wondering, cats, particularly young cats such as Pumpkin, recover amazingly well from amputation – and are able to run and jump just like cats with all four legs. So, don’t feel sorry for Pumpkin, but instead rejoice that this bouncy young kitty will have a full happy life after his surgery. Pumpkin, and his bestie, his mom’s young son, can continue to grow up together and play together. And that is a wonderful thing.
