¡Saint Primo! was founded in Austin, Texas in 2024 by filmmaker James Rodriguez, a seasoned producer with over a decade of industry experience. Now based in Dallas, Texas, we are expanding our reach and impact across the state.

Born from frustration with a system that continues to overlook Latino talent, ¡Saint Primo! is more than an organization — it’s a response, a movement, and a call to action.

With a punk rock spirit, we reject traditional gatekeeping in media and empower the next wave of Latino filmmakers to rise — raw, unapologetic, and fully seen.

These are much more than ‘art and film workshops.’ They are workforce solutions. Texas is in the middle of a filmmaking explosion, and there are jobs waiting to be filled. Our mission is to prepare the creative talent in our community to step into those opportunities, building careers while reshaping representation.

Through workshops, mentorships, and community-driven events, we are normalizing the Latino presence in film and media while celebrating the cultural roots that make our stories vital and unique.
