Dear Friends,

November is a time for giving thanks and we are Thankful for all that our supporters do for us on an ongoing basis to support our mission. Though the Somers Education Foundation has not been able to host most of our signature fundraising events since March 2020, that hasn't stopped us from awarding more than $28,000 in grants and scholarships just since June 2021 to teachers and students in the Somers Central School District (SCSD).

#GivingTuesday is a time when everyone can get involved by donating and volunteering for organizations that represent things they care about. SEF is one of those organizations that shares something "WE" all care about, which is our children and the SCSD.

Things have been different for a while and difficult for many people. We are working hard to come up with new ways to raise money for grant giving to support the children and staff throughout the SCSD.

If you have already given to the Foundation this year, we sincerely appreciate your support of this important work. If not, and if you are able to donate at this time, any amount would be greatly appreciated. We are also in need of additional volunteers. If you are interested in joining our board please contact us, we would love to hear from you!
