On Tuesday, November 5, Annie's Hope was devastated by water damage. The entire lower level of the building - all staff offices, all on-site storage and three small group meeting rooms - were saturated. Furniture, program supplies, records, archives and personal items were lost. The building owner is working with professionals to clean and restore the structure, yet it be months before we can access 4,400 sq. ft. of crucial space.

Annie's Hope has a strong team of capable, resourceful, tireless, committed staff who are working in makeshift spaces to continue programs with minimal interruption. The cost of the disaster will be substantial. In addition to remediation, we have expenses associated with adapting temporary spaces, technology needs, storage and replacement of the furniture and supplies that were destroyed.

In this moment, our greatest needs are:

Financial support;

Prayers, positive thoughts, healing energy and support that will move us toward fully functioning programs as soon as possible. There are thousands of kids and families who need access to Annie's Hope.

Our number 1 priority is to continue helping kids and families grieving deaths. Demand for bereavement support grows year after year, and decreasing services, even temporarily, is simply not an option.

We are incredibly grateful for the generosity, compassion and support this community demonstrates toward grieving kids.
