Greetings,

The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated^®, Omega Psi Omega Chapter was chartered on December 16, 2017. We proudly serve the communities of Elizabeth, Linden, Rahway, and Roselle, New Jersey.

Since our inception almost seven years ago, we have provided community service and scholarships to families and youth in the aforementioned cities. We have participated and hosted the following community service projects: provided food to approximately 30 children of School #4 in Linden to address weekend food insecurity; hosted 10 youth leaders during a six-month, youth-led leadership program; furnished a therapeutic room at the Covenant House transitional housing for young mothers in Elizabeth; provided Thanksgiving dinners for families in Elizabeth; and participated in the American Cancer Society-Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, raising $8,000 over our years of involvement. These are just a few of our service projects. Regarding our scholarships, we have donated more than $15,000 to college-bound youth in the last three years. In addition, we have won awards and been acknowledged by the Union County Board of Commissioners for community service.

Omega Psi Omega looks forward to hosting our 2025 Pink at the Preakness event on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Forest Hill Field Club! This will be an unforgettable event filled with fashion, food, and fun overlooking the golf greens!
