Alma’s wound care team needs your help! As the amount of people we are providing wound care each week increases, we are running out of supplies and need funds to keep going!

Currently we are treating a minimum of 6 wounds a week, these vary from burns and cuts, to long term diabetic ulcers, and sometimes possibly life threatening wounds that we encourage people to receive additional healthcare for. We have seen countless people with wounds come back week after week and have full recoveries.
Our goal with our station has been to bridge the gap between the people who are on the streets/ have traumatic experiences with hospitals or healthcare providers. Many of these folks have been treated poorly by our healthcare system and fear seeing doctors, and when we are able to provide them with the care they deserve over time they are more likely to visit a healthcare provider or the hospital in the future when it’s medically necessary.
Unhoused individuals face a mortality rate 3.5x higher than those of housed individuals due to treatable health conditions being unmanaged.
Our goal is to raise $500 to cover supply expenses and make sure that we can continue providing this necessary and life saving care for our neighbors for at least the next 6 months.
