A Miracle Scholarship Program
The A Miracle Scholarship Program addresses the urgent educational needs of children in impoverished regions of Honduras and Central America. With over 224 million children affected by educational crises globally, and nearly 158,000 Honduran children engaged in child labor, many lack access to education due to financial constraints and inadequate local programs.
A Miracle Pathway Foundation’s project aims to provide scholarships to at-risk primary and secondary school children from rural and impoverished areas, helping them transition from under-resourced public schools to private institutions. This initiative covers tuition, transportation, meals, and school supplies, lifting the financial burden on families and ensuring equitable education access for all children, particularly those with disabilities and girls who face gender-based inequalities.
The program builds on previous efforts and involves:
Advocacy Mobilization: Partner with private institutions and charter schools to promote gender-sensitive budgeting, equitable access to education, and the BECA scholarship matching program for children in need.
Gender-Focused Research: Conduct studies to identify gender disparities in the education system, ensuring inclusive practices that promote equality for all students.
Scholarship Aid: Develop scholarships to support children with disabilities and from low-income families, enabling their transition from public to private education.
Monitoring & Support: Provide academic tutoring, educational assessments, and counseling for scholarship recipients to ensure continued progress.
Policy Advocacy: Champion policies addressing critical barriers to education, including transportation and accessibility challenges.
Comprehensive Support: Deliver holistic scholarships covering school supplies, meals, transportation, and extracurricular learning opportunities.
By empowering children with quality education, the A Miracle Scholarship Program strives to break the cycle of poverty and provide transformative opportunities for future generations.
