I've been a part of the America SCORES family for almost 10 years and a staff member for 6.5. There truly is nothing that comes close to the unique and innovative blend of soccer, poetry, and service-learning.
I'm proud of the 25 year legacy America SCORES Chicago has, am grateful to have been a part of it, and am committed to ensuring that the next 25 are even stronger. To do that, I'm setting a personal goal of raising $2,000 and need your help to do so. Here is how you can be a part of the next 25 years:
- $25 provides the coveted Game Day fruit snacks for one Game Day
In case you're wondering, Mott's Fruit Snacks are the Poet-Athlete brand of choice
- $50 provides writing supplies for one school
- $100 provides the pizza for Community Slam
Our Poet-Athletes feast on pizza before getting on the bus to come to Community Slam to perform their individual and team poems in the Fall
- $200 covers the cost of jerseys for one team of Poet-Athletes
- $365 is the exact cost for one bus to bring a school of excited Poet-Athletes ready for Game Day to the park
Safe, reliable transportation is a huge barrier for many of our Poet-Athletes and being able to provide buses keeps them engaged in the program
- $500 pays for indoor field space for one Game Day
