As someone who believes deeply in the power of team sports and literacy, I’ve seen firsthand how they can transform a young person’s life. At America SCORES Chicago, we don’t just teach kids to play soccer—we give them a team, a voice, and a community where they can grow into confident leaders. Through poetry and play, our Poet-Athletes develop the skills to express themselves, work together, and dream big.

This year, I’m setting a personal goal to raise $1,000 to help provide kids with safe spaces, strong mentors, and opportunities to thrive—both on and off the field. Every dollar makes a difference in ensuring they have access to high-quality programming, equipment, and resources.
