ASL is a registered non-profit organization. As 501(C)3, we rely on the generous gifts of donors and sponsors to meet the operational expenses of our organization. At ASL, we aim to create an inclusive environment that offers programs to youth from 6 years of age, at the novice and recreational level, up to National and Para National qualifiers.     

2024 has been a fantastic year for ASL!  We have provided programs to more than 400 youth.  We have implemented a Local Race Squad, allowing more than 250 developing athletes to compete locally in a fun and motivational atmosphere.  We have also had a record-setting 100 qualifiers for Age Group State and Senior State Championships, and 10 of these athletes have qualified for National level meets!

ASL sees swimming as a vital part of the overall development of the youth in the CSRA.  Besides the most obvious benefit of physical conditioning, swimming fosters the personal discipline required to persevere, the confidence-building of progress in competition, the social growth from travel and learning to accept winning and losing with equal grace, and the sense of values joined from competing as both an individual and a team member.

Some may wonder, “Why does ASL rely on fundraising at all? Why not just increase membership dues?” At ASL, we strive to keep our fees as low as possible so that swimming remains affordable in youth sports. Higher dues could discourage families from participating, and we want to minimize barriers to getting kids involved in this fantastic sport. That’s why we rely on fundraising and the generosity of donors to cover approximately 8% of our budget. This support helps us maintain the high quality of our coaching and athlete development programs. All donations to ASL are tax-deductible and can be made directly using this QR code.
