OFFICIAL RULES:
Setup
β’ Teams: Two teams of 2 players.
β’ Cups: Arrange 10 cups in a triangle shape on each side of the table.
β’ Filling Cups: Fill each cup with about 1/4 of water
β’ Ping Pong Balls: Use 2
Gameplay
1. Starting the Game: Decide which team goes first. Common methods:
β’ Eye-to-eye (players shoot simultaneously while maintaining eye contact).
2. Taking Turns:
β’ Each player on the team gets one shot per turn.
3. Making a Shot:
β’ If a ball lands in a cup, the opposing team drinks the contents of that cup and removes it from the table.
β’ Bounce shots are allowed, but the opposing team can swat them away. Bounce shots count as 2 cups.
4. Re-Racks:
β’ Teams can request one re-rack per game to rearrange cups (e.g., diamond, line, etc.).
5. Defense:
β’ No interfering with direct shots.
β’ Swatting is only allowed for bounce shots.
Winning
β’ The game is played in tournament style. Each team will have to advance to the next round and win to get to finals. The game ends when one team eliminates all the opposing teamβs cups.
β’ The losing team must drink any remaining cups on their side.
House Rules
β’ Redemption: If the last cup is hit, the losing team gets one chance to hit all remaining cups on the table to force overtime.
β’ Overtime: Each side resets 3 cups in a triangle and plays until one side wins.
Free drinks provided to winning team after every round and cash prizes and more for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place!
