Abner Valdes-Cruz

Abner, co-owner of Poncho’s Tacos & Beer, brings a deep sense of service and community to everything he does. After serving in the 82nd Airborne, he returned home to Beaufort, determined to build a future for his family. He spent time working various jobs and helping his uncle run his restaurant, gaining hands-on experience and a love for the business along the way.

With that foundation, Abner, his sister and dad opened Poncho’s Tacos & Beer- a place that reflects not just great food, but strong values. Proud of his roots and deeply connected to the Hispanic community, Abner is committed to giving back and supporting those who need it most. For him, the restaurant is more than a business- it’s a way to serve his community once again.
