The USCGC Acushnet holds a legendary place in history. Starting in World War II as the USS Shackle, then as USCGC Acushnet until retirement in 2011. Her history is fascinating and should be saved. What better way to do so than to utilize her unique abilities to “Help, Save, Strengthen” our veterans?

The Acushnet Project is transforming this ship into a retraining program and support services for veterans, while preserving her history for the public.
