Get ready to move, play, and try something new. Our Adaptive Sports lineup is all about fun, flexibility, and finding what works for you. Whether you want to hit the water, roll the court, or test your aim, trained staff, volunteers, and adaptive equipment will be there every step of the way. No experience needed. Just show up ready to participate.
ASC Kayaking
Paddle your way through a memorable morning on the water. ASC Kayaking takes place at an accessible waterfront property near the Columbus Zoo and offers adaptive kayaks and specialized equipment to support a wide range of needs. Participants can paddle independently or with assistance, with staff and volunteers helping with transfers, setup, and on-water support. It is relaxed, refreshing, and a great way to kick off the day outdoors. All equipment is provided.

Location: ASC Waterfront Property near the Columbus Zoo
ASC Cycling
Feel the breeze and enjoy the ride. ASC Cycling gives participants the chance to ride adaptive bikes, including handcycles, recumbent trikes, and other options designed to match different abilities and comfort levels. Staff and volunteers will assist with bike fitting and support so you can focus on enjoying the experience. All equipment is provided.

Wheelchair Basketball
Fast-paced, energetic, and welcoming to all. Wheelchair Basketball is open to participants with and without disabilities and focuses on teamwork, passing, shooting, and game play. Manual sport wheelchairs will be provided, along with assistance for transfers and chair fitting. Expect plenty of action and lots of laughs.

Boccia
Precision meets strategy in this accessible and engaging sport. Boccia is designed for individuals with limited mobility and uses adaptive equipment as needed. Participants aim, roll, or release balls toward a target while focusing on accuracy, tactics, and friendly competition. Calm, focused, and fun for all skill levels.

Wheelchair 4-Foot Hoops
A great introduction to adaptive basketball. Wheelchair 4-Foot Hoops uses lowered baskets to build confidence and encourage participation in a relaxed, supportive environment. Participants can play from manual or power wheelchairs, with equipment and sport chairs provided. Perfect for first-timers or anyone who wants to shoot some hoops.
