Addison Grace was diagnosed with stage IV cancer on August 31, 2015. She was 3 years old.
"Addi" underwent an agressive 54 week protocol of treatment, surgeries, and radiation.
After her initial treatment she achieved "remission." Remission only lasted 5 months for her. Sadly, the rare cancer, Rhabdomyosarcoma, came back 8 times over the next 6 years.
Addison endured 13 surgeries, 3 rounds (12 weeks) of radiation, and too many chemotherapy meds, pokes and tests to count.
Addi was also a trouper and even went to several naturopaths, and explored many holistic therapies with her family. Nothing was off the table when it came to saving their little girl.
Tragically, she passed away on December 29, 2020. She was 8 years old.
With a dismal prognosis from day 1, Addison, her brother, Wiiliam (14 months older than Addi), and her mom and dad, learned the extraordinary value of an ordinary day.
Addi lived more in 8 years than most do in a lifetime. She laughed often, loved hard, and played hard.
Some of Addison's favorite things to do were go to park, swing, and have a picnic. There is an open green space next to the family's home where Addison always said there should be a picnic table and a swing.
Addison's family would like to honor her wish by putting up a memorial park in the space in her name. They have recently been given permission by their community to do so.
The Sinclair family have been continuously overwhelmed by the kindness shown to them throughout this horrific journey. Please feel free to share this story with others so Addi's Memorial Park can be made a reality.
Thank you!!!
