Adelaide's 10th Birthday

On October 17, 2025, Adelaide Cervantes would have celebrated her 10th birthday. Please help our family honor her memory by helping us raise much needed funds for The Undiagnosed Diseases Network Foundation. Because of the research UDN scientists continued to do, even after Adelaide's death, we were FINALLY able to discover the genetic cause of Adelaide's variety of symptoms: a gene called Dennd5A.

The impact of having a diagnosis is immense. My brother and sister-in-law were able to do genetic testing to see if they were carriers and my son, Adelaide's brother, will be able to do testing should he decide to have children. The more people diagnosed, the more this particular genetic disorder can be understood.

It took us almost eight years to receive a diagnosis for Adelaide, nearly double her life. This should not be the case. The Undiagnosed Diseases Network Foundation is working to help shorten the diagnostic odyssey for patients and families  - and you can help by supporting our fundraiser today!
