Students to do Adirondack Chair Art Contest

From March 14-28, students in three select schools in Windham County are eligible to participate in an art contest that can help raise funds for their school.

Caleb’s Cherubs Educational Fund has two Westwood Adirondack Chairs that could use some “Creative Art.”

Students enrolled in Green Street School in Brattleboro, Townshend Elementary School or Bellows Falls Middle School are encouraged to participate in this one-of-a-kind contest.

Each student will have the chance to submit their original artwork in paper form. Once completed, each drawing will be submitted to a “donate to vote” platform and will be up for voting by the community for two weeks, beginning April 7.

When voting is closed, the two winning students will have the chance to see their artwork applied onto a chair. When finished, each chair will be donated to the winning school.

The school will also receive a scholarship donation with a choice to use for an after- school program or an art class.

There is no entry fee for the students. Any type of color may be used: crayons, colored pencils, colored pens, watercolors, etc.

The idea should be well thought out and represent something that is special to the student. Students may also partner with fellow classmates on their design.
