My name is Deb Constien, I was diagnosed with RA at the young age of 13. Which means that is 41 years of dealing with this. The is no easy feat. In this time I have had a total knee replacement, wrist fusion, 2 cervical neck fusions- fused from C1-T1, both feet complete reconstruction surgeries. My husband Tim and I are celebrating 30 years of marriage this year. We have a 25 year old son Jacob, who is currently dealing with RA himself. It definitely is a learning curve in many ways. Learning to accept help from others even though it's the hardest thing to ask for. Tim has been my biggest help as he always picks up where I leave off. He can read my face better than anyone else can. No words are spoken...but he knows.
