My name is Jody Quinn, and I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis (PsA) over 20 years ago after 15 long, painful years of misdiagnosis. When you have PsA your body's immune system attacks your tissues and joints. PsA is a form of inflammatory arthritis that causes pain, swelling and stiffness in all joints in the body as well as the risk of developing comorbidities such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, gout, obesity, osteoporosis, and depression. It is a chronic disease, which means there is no cure. I am joining AiArthritis (the International Foundation for Autoimmune & Autoinflammatory Arthritis) on May 20, 2024 for their World AUTOimmune & AUTOinflammatory Arthritis Day Fundraiser. This day was established by AiArthritis in 2012 to DRIVE awareness about the AUTOimmune and AUTOinflammatory diseases.
