Akiikih's birthday fundraiser for the BACHO-K youth in Uganda

My dear friends,

On April 12, I am celebrating my 34th birthday! Instead of receiving gifts, I would love it if you could make a donation towards the education of children in our BACHO-K programs.  We are currently taking care of more than 200 orphans and vulnerable children, and less than half of them have a sponsor. The picture above shows me and some of the children when we were distributing bags with food. 

Any donation is highly appreciated!  For students in elementary and high school, $40 per month ($480 per year) is able to cover their school fees (including school lunches). Because of my birthday, I am aiming to raise $100 per year, so $3,400 (or basically, 7 (lucky number!) children whose fees are covered for the coming year).

We already appreciate one-time donations very much. If you are interested to be a recurring donor and interested to sponsor a child, please don't hesitate to reach out to us, as we can send you profiles of children who are still looking for a sponsor. All donations are tax-deductible in the U.S.A., according to standard IRS regulations. Sahaya International (www.sahaya.org) uses the Givebutter platform to ensure data security. There are, of course, fees for credit card usage that we bear, and we appreciate any coverage of those fees. Additionally, there is an opportunity to leave a tip for the donation platform, but there is no obligation (and you can set that to zero).
