Alka Joshi, the New York Times best-selling author of The Henna Artist, discusses the final chapter of her Jaipur Trilogy, The Perfumist of Paris. Set in1970’s Paris where Radha’s budding career as a perfumer must compete with the demands of her family and the secrets of her past in India.  Alka will be in conversation with author Mary Volmer.

Born in India, Alka Joshi came to the U.S. with her family at the age of nine. She has a BA from Stanford University and an MFA from California College of Arts. At age 62, Joshi published her debut novel, The Henna Artist, which immediately became a New York Times bestseller, a Reese Witherspoon Bookclub pick, and was Longlisted for the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize. The Henna Artist has been translated into 26 languages and is currently in development at Netflix.
