Arts & Athletics-Based Learning (AABL) Program – Giving Tuesday 2025

The Allensworth AABL Program is committed to creating meaningful opportunities for youth in our rural community—many of whom have never traveled outside the Central Valley and face daily challenges such as extreme weather and limited recreational resources. Our mission is to provide access to sports, creative expression, and movement that families would not otherwise be able to afford, including uniforms, equipment, program fees, and travel.

A current and potent opportunity exists to engage your “year-end” and community giving support today!

One of the strongest examples of this mission in action is our Allensworth Roadrunners cross-country team. This year, 24 athletes ages 5–13 have once again qualified for the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) National Championships, taking place December 4–7 in Knoxville, Tennessee. For our youth and their families , this trip represents far more than a race—it is an opportunity to experience a world beyond Allensworth, to celebrate their hard work and achievements (last year some of our 7-8 yr old girls were among the 2024 national champions!)

Our total trip budget is $45,000, and thanks to early supporters we’ve raised $35,000. On this Giving Tuesday, our goal is to raise the remaining $10,000 to cover:

Athlete and chaperoning parent travel costs
Team uniforms and gear
Race entry fees
A full Nationals travel experience for all 24 runners

This year Giving Tuesday is offering to offer a 1% match on contributions given on GT Dec 2nd. For our campaign this adds up to $100 extra for our youth!
