About This Retreat

The Already Free Retreat is an invitation to remember what is whole within you. Over three days, we will journey to ancestral lands for deep looking, silent meditation, and the practice of bearing witness. Through sitting and walking meditation, Noble Silence, and contemplative reflection, we will touch the stillness that liberates the heart and reconnect with the Earth as teacher and kin.

This retreat honors the truth that freedom is not something we attain but something we remember. We are already free. The work is removing what obscures this knowing.

What to Expect

Silent Deep Looking Practice
We hold Noble Silence throughout the retreat, creating space for deep listening to ourselves, each other, and the land.

Ancestral Land Pilgrimage
We will visit sacred sites and ancestral lands, practicing Earth-touching meditation and honoring the wisdom of those who came before.

Guided Meditation & Contemplation
Sitting and walking meditation, dharma reflection, and practices for cultivating presence, ease, and clarity.

Bearing Witness
We sit with what is, without fixing or turning away, allowing transformation to emerge through presence.

Community & Solitude
Practice alone together, held by the container of sangha while honoring each person's individual journey.

Travel & Transportation:

Van/Bus Charter (roundtrip): $800-1,200

Hotel Accommodations:

10 rooms × 2 nights (double occupancy): $2,000-3,000
Meeting/practice space rental: $500-800

Meals & Beverages:

3 meals/day × 3 days × 20 people: $900-1,200
