Help dogs like Ophelia!

"Hi everyone! My name is Ophelia, and I was rescued from ACCT, an overcrowded and underfunded Philadelphia shelter that was going to euthanize me because they didn't have the means to help me nor enough space to keep me.

My new daddy saw me on the time-stamp list and, with the help of Angel’s Retreat, rushed to save me just in time. He's so grateful to Angel’s Retreat that he wants to help save more dogs like me!

Angel's Retreat began our "ACCTs of Love" program in August 2024. We pull as many hard-to-place dogs as we can from a very high-volume, under-resourced urban kill shelter in our local area. The dogs we pull are scheduled to be euthanized due to lack of space or medical issues (orthopedic, emaciation, dermatitis, etc.) and others who have simply been overlooked and are due to be euthanized for length of stay. Thanks to our generous donors, we have the means to give these dogs the medical care they need and the love they deserve.
