The Arnada Park playground needs a new piece of equipment and Arnada residents, neighbors, and local businesses have an exciting opportunity to participate in making that happen.

The track rider at Arnada Park was identified as needing removal per a recent safety review. Instead of leaving that area empty until the entire playground is updated (5-7 years from now) the city has given us the opportunity to choose and install a new piece of equipment funded through donations. A recent resident survey identified that people most want to see a dome-style climber.

The current playground equipment at Arnada Park is designed for children ages 5-12 years old and does not provide toddlers with an appropriate play area. The new climber will be appropriate for children ages 2-5 years old and will be scaled down for reduced fall heights.

The new climber will cost $10,000. The City has committed $5,000 and the Arnada Neighborhood Association has committed $2,500. Leaving $2,500 for residents and businesses to donate.
