My name is Davilyn Freeman, and my passion for clean eating, self-sufficiency, and sustainability began when my stepmother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Instead of turning to conventional treatments alone, she embraced food as medicine—adopting a raw, plant-based diet free from cooked foods, meats, or animal byproducts.

I watched as what she ate transformed her health, and in turn, it transformed the way I saw food forever. I realized that food isn’t just something we consume—it’s something we cultivate, respect, and use to heal.

That realization planted a seed in me—one that would later grow into Asali Acres. Today, Asali Acres is a farm dedicated to sustainability, regenerative agriculture, and community empowerment.

Asali Acres is a Black-owned, woman-led farm rooted in community empowerment, sustainability, and food equity. Our 20.08-acre farm in Acton, CA, is designed to provide organic produce, herbs, and ethically raised livestock to underserved communities while educating families about clean living and self-sufficiency. We also aim to offer job training and create a healing space for inner-city youth and returning citizens.

With over a decade of experience in entrepreneurship, operations, and project management, I bring a sharp focus to strategic planning, budget development, scheduling, and outcome-driven execution. Every phase of Asali Acres is carefully managed to ensure that our growth is sustainable, our mission stays intact, and our partners receive consistent communication, transparency, and measurable impact.
