My name is Ashlyn Spanarella and I’m a classical singer from Louisville, Colorado. I’m currently a junior at Monarch High School and I will soon be a senior this upcoming school year. My musical journey started when I first moved to Louisville, and it quickly became something that comforted me in a new environment. Music has connected me with such amazing people over the years and it's given me opportunities beyond my wildest dreams. I believe it is truly my calling in life!
Through the years I have grown as a singer, and this summer I have been fortunate to be accepted at two programs: one at Oberlin Conservatory in June for ten days and another at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, for three weeks in July. This news that I can be a part of something that will benefit my skills as a musician has made me overjoyed!
This past year I have been an active part of Monarch’s school musical, I have been competing in various local and national competitions, visiting colleges, and I am active in the semi-professional Ars Nova Singers choir. Due to these commitments, there hasn’t been much time for me to find a part time job, and this summer will be no exception. The programs that I have been accepted to and the campus visits I have planned take place almost the whole summer.
These camps cost a fair amount of money, and I would like to help pay for these programs, so I have decided to attest to my strengths and put on a fundraising recital. I’m incredibly excited to perform for everyone that attends, and any donation will be very well appreciated!
This will be such an amazing event. I'm working with a professional accompanist and also invited some friends from school to showcase their talents. I promise it will an enjoyable evening for all that attend!
