As the state affiliate in Michigan, Autism Society of Greater Detroit, connects people in the Autism & Disability communities to the resources they need. We provide support through education, advocacy, information and referrals, and community programs. We currently serve the Greater Detroit area.

Help support local initiatives in Michigan:

Social Meet ups: Individuals living with Autism help each other by socializing & sharing their own knowledge and experience, during community outings & activities. Specific groups include Adults with ASD, Older Adults, Teens.
Peer Support Group: A safe space where individuals share experiences, get information & advice, and make community connections. For Parents/Caregivers (virtual)
“Navigating Autism” Information & Referrals: The 24/7 messaging service to ask questions and identify local resources. CALL: 517-220-0306
Community Learning: We educate people about special needs and various interventions. In addition to families, we also work to educate members of the community, such as first responders on how they can serve individuals on the autism spectrum
