The Peterborough Sunshine Fund exists to support individuals and families in Peterborough, New Hampshire, and surrounding Monadnock Region communities during moments of urgent need. Created by Jim Grant, the Sunshine Fund was founded to offer direct, compassionate assistance when it matters most—whether that’s help with food and housing, medical or behavioral health needs, educational support, or the resources required to secure or maintain employment.

A Community-Powered Lifeline

Operated entirely by volunteers, the Sunshine Fund relies 100% on the generosity of local donors. Because traditional government and agency programs are often limited by strict requirements and long processing times, families can be left waiting during crises that can’t wait.

The Sunshine Fund helps bridge that gap.

Sometimes we provide support while people wait for other resources to come through.
Other times, we are able to step in quickly enough to prevent someone from needing government assistance at all.
