Hello from the Lexington Singers! We have been performing quality choral music including major works in central Kentucky and around the world since 1959, making it one of the longest continuously performing independent community choirs in America. Based in Lexington, Kentucky, The Lexington Singers provides opportunities for children, youth, and adults. The Adult Choir is comprised of more than 180+ members. The Lexington Singers currently includes five choirs with over 300 voices total, including four children’s choirs, and an advanced handbell ensemble.
In addition to performances around Central Kentucky, our Adult Choir also serves as a musical ambassador to countries around the world. Tour concerts have included performances at St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican, St. Mark’s Basilica in Venice, Vienna’s Hofburg Palace, the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris, tours through Central and South America, and most recently, our 2019 Summer tour to South Africa. Domestic performances have also taken place at Kennedy Center for the Arts in Washington, D.C. and New York City's prestigious Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.
In 2026, we're headed to Paris, France to perform a brand new piece of music by the internationally renown composer, Elaine Hagenberg. We performed the World Premiere of this piece in October of 2025 at the Singletary Center for the Arts in Lexington, KY and have been invited to be the "anchor choir" for the European Premiere at the historic Eglise Saint-Sulpice in Paris. After our momentous performance, we're heading to Lexington's sister city of New Market in England. There we will perform and at a local church and spend time in the equine-centric town north of London.
We hope you can support us on our journey!
