By the end of 2023, thanks to you, ASAP has established 6 preschool hubs in Gauteng Province. Each is at capacity, serving 30 preschools. Our 7th one is up and running in the province called "Free State", 4 hours from our partner nonprofit PEN's office (PEN stands for Participate, Envision, Navigate.)
In 2024 we will set up our 8th Educational Toy Library Training Center in Limpopo, a 3rd province, 4 hours in a different direction! 2024 Expansion Campaign donations will help fund a second hub in both the Free State and Limpopo. This will maximize monthly visits in the new Birthday Car Campaign Toyota by a PEN Area Manager who will mentor local Early Childhood Development coaches. She will oversee the roll out of the ASAP/PEN model as daycares register to borrow educational toys, daycare owners and their staff are trained, under-resourced babysitting settings become functional preschools, and best of all, vulnerable children "expand" in a safe, caring, enriched environment.
Generous donations are making this exciting expansion possible!
Your 2024 donations will also help fund a new research study on the impact of our unique model of support for preschoolers in their critically formative years. University of Pretoria faculty in the Early Childhood Department are excited to do the research and publish articles. We hope this will bring visibility and reassure donors, foundations, and policy-makers that our unique model can positively impact South Africa's preschool crisis and generational poverty cycle.
By December 2023, ASAP not only funded a new Toyota for PEN. Most importantly, our donors are uplifting 8,758 children, 991 women, 181 preschools, and many disadvantaged communities!

*** Preschool owners gain points, like monopoly money, for attending weekly curriculum trainings and monthly workshops, and for reaching their goals. Points buy dolls, large pots, mops, carpet pieces, fire extinguishers, balance beams, books, medical kits etc. These essentials can’t be borrowed and would otherwise be too difficult or costly for owners to purchase.
