2024 - A Year of Expansion!

Your donations are changing more and more lives. This is our most important accomplishment. 

-By December 2023, ASAP donors were uplifting 8,758 children, 991 women, 181 preschools, and  funded a new Toyota for PEN. 

-By December 2024, ASAP donors are uplifting 10,790 children, 1,162 women, and 223 preschools in 3 provinces.  

We are also increasing the funding, expansion, and awareness of this unique model: 

-ASAP now has a board in South Africa. 

-Research on the model is underway by the enthusiastic Early Childhood Department at the University of Pretoria. 

-PEN created an assessment of foundational skills for kindergarten readiness. It will be implemented with 3-5 year olds bi-annually.

Here's How You Can Help:

$25 Funds three educational toys, games, puzzles, books, puppets, or sports items.

$75 Funds one Play and Learn (PAL) Kit of 10 curriculum-aligned toys.

$150 Funds items preschool owners can purchase at PEN's Incentive Store with points they earned. ***

$300 Funds one kit of 30 musical instruments.

$3,500 Funds seed money for a preschool coach's annual salary. 

$6,000 Funds Educational Toy Libraries to support 10 more schools. Full capacity is 30 preschools and 3 coaches per Library Support Center.

$7,500 Funds the startup of a new Toy Library Preschool Support Center including shelves, security doors, barred windows, tables and chairs, and sets of educational toys, books, games, puppets, puzzles, and resources for 10 daycares to borrow as they become preschools. 

 *** Preschool owners gain points for improving their schools and attending weekly curriculum trainings and monthly workshops. Points can be exchanged for permanent equipment that is not suitable for loaning via the toy libraries and too expensive for owners to buy themselves. These include dolls, large pots, fire extinguishers, medical kits, balance beams, and scooters.
