Thank you for supporting BACHO-K

Many thanks for your interest to support the children  of BACHO-K (Banybabutumbi Cultural Heritage Organization - Kanungu)!  Currently our highest need is assistance to the many children and youth in our program.

We have currently 202 orphans (approx 50 of them living with HIV) in our programs. Currently 70 of them have a sponsor. The remaining 132 children and youth urgently need support with their education, nutrition and other basic needs.   The average cost per child (from kindergarten to highschool) is $480 per year (or $40 per month). If you like to support a specific child, just leave a note in the form.  We can send you some profiles, or alternatively, we can assign you a child and provide updates. Any donation you can provide will make a big difference. 

All donations are tax-deductible in the U.S.A., according to standard IRS regulations. Sahaya International is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.  Sahaya International uses the Givebutter platform to ensure data security. There are, of course, fees for credit card usage that we bear, and we appreciate any coverage of those fees. Additionally, there is an opportunity to leave a tip for the Givebutter donation platform, but there is no obligation and you can set that to zero (we do no receive that tip).

If you wish to specify or dedicate your contribution to a preferred child or BACHO program, simply leave a comment in the "+ add message" field on the online donation form. If you don't enter a specific program, donations will be allocated where the needs are the highest, which is currently the orphan support.

If you like to avoid any transaction fees, mail a check made payable to "Sahaya International" with mention "BACHO" to this address. Please leave a note with your email address so we can email you a tax receipt, and leave us with any other info (such as if this is for a specific BACHO program):
