Dear Friends, This year I fulfilled a longtime dream of starting a steel pan band in Boston for high-risk youth: MissionSAFE Steel. We have 10 teenagers who are having a great time with it (and who have never played  music before), and with grants and donations, we've managed to provide enough instruments for all of them. But paying a qualified instructor (I'm just the assistant) takes more than we've been able to raise through grants so far. My birthday wish is to raise $1,000 to help MissionSAFE keep the band going this fall. Any donation of any size helps. Thanks so much for anything you can give!
