I discovered BFF.fm in 2016, when the dumpster fire we've been living through was really heating up. This was the anti-venom I needed. The aloe vera I needed? Metaphors are hard.
I started my first radio show, Radical Advice, in 2017 and this station - the people, the music, the space - has been one of the few things keeping me going through it all. Five years later, I'm on my second live show, I've helped launch a podcast network, and I've witnessed BFF continue to grow in how we support the San Francisco arts community and, in that, each other.
This is the kind of thing we need to keep alive if we're going to weather the storms ahead because we're nothing without each other. And we're nothing without the music.
Any amount you can spare goes a long way in helping us stay on air, grow, and thrive.
