Where We Began

The Boys & Girls Club of Bethlehem was established in 1930. During the rise of the Bethlehem Steel, many of the area youth were in desperate need of a place to go where they could participate in organized activities with their peers. For some we were a place to learn, play with friends, and keep active. For others, we were a home away from home, a safe haven, and a place where they were supported and cared for. We continue to proudly serve our youth in all of these ways today!

Who We Are Today

With a dedicated facility, life-changing programs & activities, and consistent, positive role-models, the Club fills the vulnerable gap between school and home. We provide year-round access to a fun and safe youth development experience.

Homework Help, Sports, Financial Literacy, Career Exploration, Art, STEM, and Health & Wellness are just a few of the programs we offer Club kids throughout the year.

What began as an organization primarily backed by the Bethlehem Steel for 60+ years, is today upheld and supported by our many community partners. Our members of years past are now alumni who have become experienced professionals, passionate community leaders, and caring parents.
