Lake Loramie Improvement Assoc. Sensory Education Garden

Lake Loramie Improvement Association is working to increase the recreational opportunities at Lake Loramie State Park by creating areas that will further enhance the park's offerings affording more opportunities for families and friends to enjoy nature.  We are looking to create an educational environment by building a Wetland and Sensory Education Garden adjacent to the new Welcome Center (currently under construction).  The wetland would be included in garden along with a music area, pollination and rainbow gardens, meditation area, a greenhouse and raised planting beds, and human sundial to name a few.  The garden will host native plants, and educational programs will be offered to those who would be interested in learning more about gardening and the wetlands ecosystem.  We are asking for donations from the public to help pay for these enhancements to the park.  Our goal is to raise $50,000 in addition to the corporate funding and grants we are hoping to receive.  We are extremely excited about this project and hope to raise enough funds to get the project going in the near future.
