Black Lives Matter Long Beach

Black Lives Matter Long Beach began its work in 2013 in memory of Trayvon Martin. As part of the Black Lives Matter Grassroots movement, we continue our work in honor of individuals, families and communities harmed by state sanctioned violence in the forms of police brutality, access to affordable and quality housing, medical/wellness, mass incarceration, employment and educational resources.
We work in partnership in coalition spaces with Long Beach community members, grassroots leaders and entities, nonprofits, and other organizations to build awareness, provide political and social justice education, leadership development, outreach, civic engagement and community organizing.
