Led by a professional, trusted, and compassionate CEO, The Local Wellness Foundation embarked on a journey to build people-centered, compassion-based programs. By collaborating with LACDMH, the foundation plays a crucial role in promoting mental well-being and preventing the escalation of mental health problems.

The statistics are telling: nearly 1 in 7 California adults experience mental illness, and 1 in 26 faces serious mental health challenges. Children and youth are also affected, with rising rates of depression and suicide. Many Californians, especially those with serious mental illness or substance use disorders, struggle to access the care they need, often due to socioeconomic disparities and workforce shortages.
