Come View Emotions Matter 2024 BPD Art Show in New York City!

Emotions Matter (BPD) invites the community to attend our BPD 2024 Art Show on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Bartholomew's Church at 325 Park Avenue in New York City.

The theme of this year's Art Show is "Riding the Waves: Living with Borderline Personality Disorder."

Our Emotions Matter Art Shows have been an incredibly dynamic and empowering experience for our artists and volunteers. We hope to make this, our 4th, the most successful and inclusive yet.

In the summer of 2024, Emotions Matter launched a national call for submissions by people who have lived experience of borderline personality disorder as an individual, family, or professional, to share their art.

The purpose of the art show is threefold:

● To raise the public’s awareness about borderline personality disorder (BPD), a highly stigmatized and often misunderstood mental illness, through art and the lived experience perspective.

● To empower artists to tell their stories through art, fostering self-agency, leadership, and visual storytelling.

● To inspire those impacted by BPD to achieve recovery, offering hope and support.

Our in-person Art Show will be from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Come view art, meet our artists and community members, and learn about borderline personality disorder. Light refreshments will be served.
